Will the battle against rivals be more competitive than recent times?

by | Jul 26, 2022 | Opinion | 0 comments

Every Spurs fan loves but also dreads the North London Derby, and this year it could be as competitive as it has ever been. Both Arsenal and Tottenham improving their squad both teams could be seen battling it out for who finishes higher within the top four.

Not only will the games most likely posses a higher quality of football the league table may become quite a lot closer, as seen last season. The two styles of football clashing will lead to a very end to end game type of match alongside a hostile environment as always seen. Due to how the transfer window has gone so far it would not surprise me if they also dominate Chelsea in their games and finish above them this season coming. The lack of a striker may damage Chelsea alongside the massive loss of Rudiger, meanwhile Tottenham have improved their attack and also with Romero settling in and hopefully working effectively Lenglet. Furthermore the addition of Perisic may challenge the premier league defences when he is attacking. The back and fourth that is being set up to occur in these bigger games will add a different level of entertainment and is probably why pundits are suggesting spurs could finish upwards of second in the league.

The excitement that follows this season will see battles in every position hopefully keeping all the Spurs fans happier than ever before. From the immaculate passes from Son to the top corner finishes from Kane the constant battle on the pitch with the ‘big 6’ will entertain even the neutral fans.
