The premier league season is looming upon Spurs as they battle against Roma in a Pre-season friendly. This will be the first time the ex Tottenham manager faces off against this optimistic squad.
It will be interesting to see how the two styles clash and how the similarities of Italian football between Mourinho and Conte will go against each other. Furthermore, the new signings should get more of a run out this game enabling Conte and the fans to get a better idea of how the squad will mould together. Roma have just come off winning the conference league making them be in positive spirits coming into this season.
Conte will want the squad to continue their winning ways from pre-season to allow for them to have the best start of the season possible. Hitting the ground running at the start of the season Is one of the most difficult things to do, if Conte finds the magical way to do so they may be able to gain a head start against the big hitters and rivals. Hopefully the game will give an insight as to how the side will line up especially with the midfield combination that will be used.
